PS Barito Putera

Persatuan Sepak Bola Barito Putera is an Indonesian football club based in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. Currently the Club played in 2011–12 Liga Indonesia Premier Division (LI) Last season 2010-11.

History

Barito Putera Banjarmasin is a football club owned by H. Sulaiman H.B, a prominent businessman and later also known as the Chairman of the Golkar Party of South Kalimantan. Headquartered in the 17 May Stadium.

One of the best players Barito Putera is Frank Sinatra Huwae, Huwae family's son who was born in Amuntai, North River Regency.

Semifinal match opponent Persib in the 1994–95 Liga Indonesia Premier Division was an unforgettable match, not only for all players, but also for all people in South and Central Kalimantan. Although eventually defeated 0-1 by a penalty Kekey Zakaria, Barito home greeted like a hero. Man crowded along the 30 km starting from Syamsuddin Noor Airport to downtown Banjarmasin.

October 31, 2008, the team managed to win the competition PSSI division 2.
